Less Obvious Ways You Expose Your iPhone to Water

In this world, there are certain things that simply do not mix together: oil and water, bleach and vinegar, antibiotics and alcohol… and you can definitely add water and iPhone to that list.

What with all the nice features the iPhone has, it is still incredibly susceptible to water damage. This is the reason why you never bring your iPhone to the edge of a swimming pool. That should be a given, right? However, there are other, less obvious ways water can ruin your iPhone:

Bathroom Break

The humidity in a bathroom can easily collect into the open spaces of your phone. This is especially true if you take a hot shower. Given enough time, the steam from your shower can cause water to seep into your phone undetected. Either buy a waterproof case for your phone, or leave it in the bedroom while you shower or go for a bathroom break.

Working Out

Listening to music while working out is a great way to keep you focused and motivated. However, make sure that your iPhone is properly protected against your sweat. Although sweat may seem harmless, do not forget that sweat is roughly 95 percent water. The salt in your sweat can also cause more serious problems down the road.

If you plan to purchase an iPhone, remember to look for a waterproof iPhone case. These smartphones are an expensive investment and should be treated with utmost care.
