Why a Lightweight, Sturdy Hydration Pack is Vital in Mountain Biking
Hot summer days can only make you sweat some more. During your mountain biking trips, though, you don’t just lose water; you also lose electrolytes essential for your cells to function. To counter that, you can add a pinch of unrefined sea salt for each liter of water you drink from your trusty hydration pack; you can also take pickle juice or sports drinks to replace your body’s lost minerals. Replacing your electrolytes prevents hyponatremia, which causes confusion, nausea, headache, and cramping.
